1. Definitions
Fixuup / Company / We / Us / Our: Fixuup Ltd, registered in the UK.
Customer / You / Your: Any person using our website or services to book an emergency engineer.
Engineer: A self-employed, qualified, insured professional sourced through Fixuup.
Service: The provision of connecting a customer with an engineer for emergency maintenance (plumbing, electrical, gas, or locksmith services).
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and a UK resident to use Fixuup services. By using our website or booking a service, you confirm that you meet these eligibility requirements.
3. Service Description
Fixuup provides a platform to connect customers with vetted, local engineers for emergency maintenance.
Our engineers are self-employed and independent; Fixuup is not responsible for the work performed by engineers.
Fixuup guarantees that we will attempt to provide an engineer within 90 minutes of booking. If we fail to do so, your call-out fee will be refunded.
4. Booking and Payment
Customers pay a call-out fee at the time of booking. This can be paid online or over the phone.
Engineer fees are paid directly to the engineer at the time of service. Fixuup does not handle or hold these payments.
Prices for call-outs and engineer services are clearly displayed on the website.
By making a booking, you agree to pay the call-out fee and any agreed repair charges to the engineer.
5. Cancellations and Refunds
Call-out fees are non-refundable unless we fail to provide an engineer within the 90-minute guarantee.
Customers must notify Fixuup immediately if they wish to cancel a booking.
Any repair costs agreed directly with the engineer are subject to the engineer’s terms. Fixuup is not responsible for refunds of engineer fees.
6. Customer Responsibilities
Provide accurate and complete information about the emergency and property.
Ensure safe access for the engineer to perform the service.
Follow any safety instructions provided by Fixuup or the engineer.
7. Engineer Responsibilities
Engineers are vetted, qualified, and insured.
Engineers are responsible for their work and any associated warranties or guarantees.
Fixuup is not liable for the quality of work, delays, or any damage caused by the engineer.
8. Liability Disclaimer
Fixuup provides a matching service and is not responsible for any loss, damage, or injury caused by the engineer’s work.
Fixuup is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including property damage, financial loss, or personal injury.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
9. Intellectual Property
All website content, logos, branding, images, text, and software are the property of Fixuup Ltd.
You may not reproduce, copy, modify, or distribute any content without written permission from Fixuup.
10. Privacy and Data Protection
Fixuup collects and processes personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and our Privacy Policy.
By using our services, you consent to us storing and processing your personal data for service delivery, marketing, and administrative purposes.
11. Changes to Terms
Fixuup reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time.
Updated terms will be posted on the website with a revised “Last Updated” date.
Continued use of the website or services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
